Redundancy

n+1 Diesel Generators, UPS, Battery Backup and DC power to provide conditioned power to the IP floor. Our redundant Cisco and Foundry routers utilize BGP4 protocol to provide redundant service through our multiple providers.

Security

Network security is a priority and includes but is not limited to the following:

• Redundant firewalls that stop most attacks before they start. Each of our servers are loaded with an early warning intrusion detection system that is automatically updated each time a new security flaw is discovered worldwide.
• Physical security is also of the utmost importance to our network. We have in place many of the latest security measures, including: fire detection and suppression, 24/7 armed guards and closed circuit cameras monitoring every square foot of our facility.

Over the years our parent company, XPaw Media International, has been involved in several different hosting web sites.   With new trends in the hosting industry, we  have adapted by adding new sites.  Our first hosting site in 1999 sold 200 MB hosting accounts for $24.95 per month.  Our prices were very competitive!   We hosted the sites on our very first server farm which were Cobalt Raq’s with only 20 GB hard drives.  At the time, these were the “top of the line” servers for the ease of setting up hosting accounts.  Our Current servers have 750GB+ capacity!  This was also a time of $1000 a month for 100gb of monthly bandwidth!  My, how things have changed.

Over the years, we have upgraded and replaced servers as technology allowed.  As these new growth spurts in the ISP industry happened, we had to make the choice of re-doing our hosting sites or just expand into new hosting ventures.  We did the latter.  When we started using cPanel/Whm hosting, we started new hosting sites that focused our advertising dollars on spreading the cPanel word and basically left the old sites to run on their own, just maintaining support for our customers.

The problem with this is organization, or lack of it.  In 2006, we started combining our sites account billing and support software.  This has helped our support department dramatically, yet has left some of our clients a bit confused of who was actually helping them.  We have always offered our own support, without out-sourcing.  This is something that we pride ourselves on in this day and age of everyone sending their support overseas.

We are now in the last phase of combining all of our hosting customers sites into one branded hosting name:  www.MyPowerHost.com!

We will be adding new servers soon and migrating older accounts to the new machines slowly, providing our unmatched support the whole way.  Everything should be VERY seamless to our clients.
